Latest Project: A Sculptured Peplum Knit

Perhaps it was the holidays. Or maybe the weather, which has been so cold that my fingers have stiffened. In any case, I haven’t been doing a lot of knitting these days — until now!

I decided to start the year with a very cute sculptured peplum cardi published in “Scarlet”, a book of 21 designs by Kim Hargreaves.

The design, called “Steed”, is a fitted cardi worked in seed stitch, with a flared peplum in back that incorporates reverse stockinette godets (triangular inserts).

I’m substituting the recommended yarn with my newly acquired stash of Artfibers Zoe yarn — a less “fulled” yarn that will definitely result in a different look.

I’m working on the back — looking good so far!
